Robert Choiniere has been with the Office of Pastoral Planning since 2004. He became Director of the Office in 2006. Bob has worked in Parish Pastoral Council development and Pastoral Planning in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia before coming to Brooklyn. Bob holds an MA in Pastoral Ministry and a Post-graduate Certificate in Leadership from Boston College. He also attended DeSales University in Center Valley, PA and holds a BA in Theology. In addition to his Diocesan responsibilities, he is also the managing director of Stages on the Sound, Inc, a non-profit Shakespearean theatre company.
The Church is not a museum. It is a flourishing garden of life and we are called not to be curators, but gardeners.

Ellen has been with the Diocese since 2002, first as Diocesan Director of Youth Ministry, presently as Associate Director of Pastoral Planning. Before diocesan ministry, she has served as a Social Worker, Music Minister, Campus Minister, Assistant Dean and Adjunct Professor, though gratefully never all at once. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Fairfield University, M.S.W. from Hunter College School of Social Work and M.A. in Theology from St. John’s University.
